Our Crew.
Well hello! It’s great to meet you!
Dan knew from a young age that he wanted to be a farmer. In fact, he would follow his grandfather around the farm like a second skin. If he saw something that needed to be done, he would just do it (even if he wasn’t quite old enough for the task). Dan’s strong work ethic, pure enjoyment of farming and mechanical expertise helped develop the farm into what it is today.
Robin was the first woman to join the exclusive “boys club” at the farm. From birthing calves to raking hay, she can hang with the best of them. Robin used to be a marine biologist but came back to the farm because she missed her cow babies. Her nurturing spirit and willingness to do whatever is necessary for the farm (even keeping the books) has cemented her role within the farm.
Davey is the baby of the fourth generation but you would never know it! Davey, or Chief as he is widely known, has had a commanding presence since he was just a little boy. Davey’s brilliant electrical engineering mind and commodity marketing expertise are just a few of things that he contributes to the farm.
Dan is the new kid on the block, fresh from K-State (Go Power Cats!) with a degree in agricultural technology management and animal science with a concentration in robotic dairy herd management. As the fifth generation, Dan has brought cutting edge technology back to the farm. These innovative processes include variable seed, fertilizer, and chemical prescriptions as well as using satellite imagery to analyze the health of crops in the fields.
Joe graduated from The Ohio State University with his bachelor’s degree in Agriscience. Joe is the farm’s lead trucker and jokester. If you ever hear the name “tweety bird” on a CB radio, it’s probably Joe in the yellow eighteen-wheeler hauling soybeans!
